Press conference scheduled to begin.

It’s official: Adrian Heath is the new Minnesota United FC head coach.

Heath “extremely pleased, delighted” to be with MNUFC. He thanks owner Bill McGuire and Sporting Director Manny Lagos.

Heath, already wearing a MNUFC pin, dons his first United scarf. Welcome to the family.

Adrian, why is this the right position for you?
When asked why Minnesota United is the right fit, Heath emphasized his passion for soccer in the U.S. He briefly returned to England after his time at Orlando City FC, but wanted to return stateside to lead a club again.

Manny, why is Heath the right guy for MNUFC?
Manny: We did an exhaustive search and had to think internally about what kind of club we wanted to be and how we wanted to grow into this transition.Manny: H, believ, th, clus, amnd

Adrian, after the ups and downs of an expansion draft in Orlando, what draws you to do this again?
Heath: Yeah, we have a lot of players to find in a short window, so it’ll be tough. We know the first year is going to be tough, but our goal is to drive toward the end of the season and be in there with every game.

Adrian, what will you look for in potential players?
Heath: We’re going to put forward a competitive team, an attacking team. We want to win from day one.

Adrian, what’s your footballing philosophy?
Heath: We like to possess the ball, play through the thirds. I like to play in the opposing team’s half, to get crosses into their box. At Orlando, we had 12 wins the first year.
