Adrian Heath was finally, officially announced as the man to lead Minnesota United into their first year in MLS. As expected, Twitter reacted in a number of ways.
Some are excited for Heath’s arrival.
Hard not to be impressed by Adrian Heath the @MNUFC new head coach. So much experience. Reminds me of when Wild launched w/ Jacques Lemaire

Adrian Heath is a great hire for #MNUFC and he is just killing this presser. Saying all the right things.

Yes, amazing signing! Hopefully we can start signing players next. #COYL #MNUFC https://t.co/GKD6SMV7DO

Some aren’t as excited.
Minnesota United is doomed from the start by hiring Adrian Heath

Many better candidates for #MNUFC 1st #MLS coach, Heath must be cheap. Concerned #Loons will struggle, but at least logo/nickname are great! https://t.co/XdY3ogUxjc

I think Adrian Heath is an odd hire for a club that didn't want to promote its own second-division coach.

Some are right in the middle.
I'm not convinced Adrian heath is a good MLS coach- I'm not convinced he's a bad one, either.

Orlando City FC fans wishing him well.
All the best to Adrian Heath at @MNUFC. Great manager and individual. #LionNation #MLS #MNUFC

@EPluribusLoonum Heath is one of the more easy to like coaches you'll find. You guys will have fun covering him.

I want Adrian Heath to do really well at Minnesota and honestly I hope they play Orlando and beat them.

Some tips of what to expect.
@kylehenning good hire, but he'll need a good staff as he is not able to coach the D well. Always will be a legend in Orlando, though!

I think about the attacking players Heath has developed: Dwyer, Molino and Larin.
— Harrison Crow (@Harrison_Crow) November 29, 2016
That's three starting MLS strikers that Heath has had involvement in developing straight out of college.

After panning Heath's style and abilities, my Austin Aztecs buddy had this to say... #MNUFC pic.twitter.com/JVxXCsBv7M

Not as many player reactions as expected, but this one from Jamie Watson is perfect:
Tried moving halfway across the country to the frozen tundra to get away from the gaffer yelling at me! Guess he really missed doing it! https://t.co/EANyfVpEEj

As a whole, it appears that Heath’s signing was met with excitement (and a bit of “what took you so long?” snark). Now we get to wait patiently until MNUFC chooses to share more information with us.
