BREAKING: Source Says Minneapolis City SC Heading to NPSL

Supporter-owned club poised for promotion as they look ahead to 2017 season.

Supporter-owned soccer is about to get a big boost in Minnesota thanks to a coming promotion.

E Pluribus Loonum has confirmed with our source that Minneapolis City SC is expected to announce a move to the National Premier Soccer League very soon.

Minneapolis City, affectionately known as The Crows, are the state’s only supporter-owned minor league soccer team and currently plays in the Premier League of America (PLA). The supporter-owned business model is a big departure from typical ownership structure that looks for one or a few wealthy individuals to take control of a team. Instead, Minneapolis City shares are given to any fan that buys season tickets.

Shareholders have the right to vote on important club matters and help steer the future of the club.

We’re hearing that an announcement on the club’s promotion is imminent. Stayed tuned to E Pluribus Loonum today as we look for official word soon.
