Welcome to Ramirez Watch, a segment where we’ll post the latest news about our favorite NASL striker.
It’s been pretty quiet on the Ramirez front for weeks now. The team (understandably) wanted to keep most team news on the down-low until their big unveiling of new head coach Adrian Heath. That’s all fine a good but many of the Loons faithful - myself included - are dying to hear any news about Ramirez.
Well, start your engines, sports fans, because the hype train starts here:
Great things come with patience

Before we all run out to put deposits on new CR21 gear for next season, it’s important for me to say that this could mean anything. Literally, anything at all.
Could Ramirez and his agent be getting closer to a deal with the Loons? Definitely. I sincerely hope they are. Could this be hinting at a big money transfer? Yep. Ramirez showed enough promised over the past season that another team could be looking to sign him as a prospect (MLS) or a new centerpiece (USL? Overseas?). Could it all just be posturing by a player that is still in negotiation with his club? Yes, yes it could.
I know this isn’t a lot to go on, folks. But winter is coming, and we need a soccer team.
Let’s hope Ramirez is a part of whatever squad Heath fields in a mere eight weeks (dang, the pre-season is close...).
