MNUFC announced on Monday that they club has signed defender Brent Kallman and Brazilian midfielder Ibson to their MLS roster. Both players previously played for United in the NASL.
Defender Brent Kallman has been with United for his entire career. The Woodbury native joined the club in 2013 after playing his college soccer at Creighton, where his team when to back-to-back College Cups. Kallman played in 30 matches for the Loons last season and was third on the team in minutes played.
Ibson originally signed for United in 2015 after playing at such storied clubs as FC Porto, Spartak Moscow, Flamengo, and Corinthians. The 33 year-old brings experience from the highest level, having played in the UEFA Champions League during his career in Europe.
The two players will fly to Arizona today with the rest of their teammates as the club kicks off their first ever MLS preseason.
