The News We’ve Been Waiting For: MNUFC Signs Christian Ramirez

After months of speculation and rumors, Minnesota United FC finally announced the signing of Christian Ramirez today. The fan favorite and two time NASL Golden Boot winner (given to the league’s top scorer) will be expected to bring his scoring touch along with him to MLS. Ramirez scored 51 goals for MNUFC in his three seasons with the club, the most by an American player during that time.

Ramirez has taunted entertained us on Twitter over the last two months, playing along with #RamirezWatch, our obsessive thorough coverage of his goings-on on Twitter. Does his signing mean the end of #RamirezWatch, or is it just the beginning? Maybe monthly movie reviews from Christian will be in our future?

Hopefully Ramirez can keep up the incredible scoring pace, and though the speculation for his signings are complete, we hope he can continue to provide plenty of stories for MNUFC moving forward!
