After the 3 players that were nominated by the team for MLS MVP were announced, Minnesota United announced today that Abu Danladi was nominated for Rookie of the Year.
The first overall pick and first pick in MNUFC history has come on strong as of late and has 8 goals and 3 assists. He has started to show an ability to score from many areas of the field.

Danladi is one of 16 players up for the award. Jack Elliott of the Philadelphia Union and Julian Gressel are likely the main competition for the award.
