We want to say hi to MNUFC fans (new and old!) heading into the first season in MLS!

*loon call*

Ladies and gentlemen, the day we have been waiting for is finally here.

Some of us have been waiting for years (being there through the long history of professional soccer in Minnesota) and some of us have only jumped on board in the recent months. Regardless of how long you’ve been a Loon, we are glad you are here.

Minnesota United FC begins its first season in Major League Soccer (along with that other United, Atlanta United). And while being the new guys in the league isn’t going to be easy, we are going to love (almost) every moment anyway.

There is already an exciting and rich (looking at you, OpuLoons) supporter culture in Minnesota and great sources of media coverage for the team. We want to bridge the gap between these two important parts of MNUFC culture. We are all fans of the club, and will react and respond in kind (mainly, #PANIC), but we also hope to provide a level of professional coverage for the team that helps to keep all of our readers informed and excited about the club.

We are glad that you have found us, and we hope you enjoy your time here. Don’t be afraid to comment if you have questions, or bother us let us know things we’ve missed or should add on Twitter or Facebook. We want to share with you the things that not only we find important or interesting, but that you find interesting. We are hoping to build an entertaining and supportive community here. Whether you stand with the Dark Clouds or True North Elite, sit in the cheap seats, follow along from your couch, or are new to the club entirely, we want to welcome you to our E Pluribus Loonum community and say that we are genuinely excited to have each and every one of you.

Your level of involvement in our community is completely up to you. If you want to live in the comments section, we completely support that (looking at you, Long Tuba and PaleVermilion). We enjoy seeing the interactions our readers have in that space and hope to see even more insightful and/or entertaining interactions there in the future. If you see something that we may have missed, or want to write your own post about something that you feel we aren’t looking into, we have just the places to do that! Our FanShots and FanPosts will allow you to do just that, providing a place to share interesting links/videos/quotes or much longer thoughts, respectively. If you are looking to get a little more involved, we have plenty of options for that too. We always have room for new writers, video producers, graphic designers, or any other way you can think to contribute. If you have a skill you want to share with us and other MNUFC supporters, shoot us an email or send us a message on social media! If you’re content following along without commenting, sharing or #PANIC-ing, we are fine with that too!

We are constantly working to find new ways to cover the club, and will work to provide exciting, informative, and entertaining coverage throughout Minnesota United’s first year in MLS and beyond. We can’t thank you enough for being here, and are excited to move forward with all of you!

Most importantly...

COME ON YOU LOONS!!
