Minnesota’s long-standing appreciation for the outdoors is about to earn some lucky outdoors enthusiasts a chance to see the Loons play on the cheap.

Minnesotans with valid hunting and fishing licenses are eligible to purchase discount tickets for the May 7th Minnesota United vs. Sporting KC match, the DNR announced Monday.

“We hear the call of the loon while we’re out on the water and exploring on land, and now it also means Major League Soccer,” said Jenifer Wical, the DNR’s Fish and Wildlife marketing coordinator. “If you have a fishing or hunting license now you can get this deal on tickets to a Minnesota United game.”

The DNR and Minnesota United have worked together in the past to donate a portion of all Itasca Society season ticket holder revenue to the DNR.
