VIDEO: Superman Christian Ramirez Second Goal vs. RSL

Not all heroes wear capes, but sometimes it looks cool when they do.

Christian Ramirez has demonstrated that his NASL goal scoring superpowers extend to MLS. With four goals in five games this season he has shown new Minnesota United FC fans and the rest of MLS why he is the club’s Superman. He doesn’t wear a cape on the field, but it would look kinda cool if he did:

Ramirez currently sits tied for fourth in the league in goals scored, notably behind Josef Martinez and Fanendo Adi who scored 3 and 2 goals against the Loons, respectively. Ramirez entered the season as Minnesota United’s leading scorer (51 goals in three seasons for the Loons, including a NASL Golden Boot for each foot) and shows no signs of slowing down.

Ramirez’s two goal game against Real Salt Lake was enough to be named to the MLS Team of the Week!

We haven’t found Superman’s kryptonite yet, and we found out this weekend that it isn’t the flu. Ramirez netted both goals this weekend, despite a sleepless night before the match due to a stomach flu.
