A great weekend for Minnesota United just got better as MLS honors are given to two from the club’s starting XI.
The MLS Team of the Week for Week 21 was released today and - wouldn’t you know it - two Loons are featured in the ranks. Midfielder Kevin Molino and defender Jerome Thiesson made the Team of the Week roster, Molino as a part of the starting XI and Thiesson as an honorable mention on the bench.
Molino was at the heart of the Loons’ 4-0 dismantling of D.C. United this weekend with two gorgeous assists that kept a promising build-up on track. Molino last made Team of the Week for Week 7.
Thiesson earns his first Team of the Week honors this week. In addition to playing a solid 90’ of defense, Thiesson featured frequently in the Loons’ build-up, often crossing the half line as he pressed into D.C.’s third of the pitch.
