Well, if nukes didn’t scare you already this week, this news may just do the trick: Minnesota United are still linked with former Arsenal midfielder Matthieu Flamini.
Touchline 365 has the report via Twitter:
Free-agent Mathieu Flamini is still being linked with a move to #MLS, primarily #MNUFC. Stay tuned.

Is this legit, or is it another attempt by an agent to get some more heat for a player Frankly, at this point in the transfer window, it’s dang hard to tell.
Flamini is a free agent, which means he can still be signed after tonight’s secondary transfer window closes, but with the rest of the MLS press in overdrive as teams sneak in a few final transfers, it’s harder than normal to separate the wheat from the chaff on this one.
The midfielder certainly brings a pedigree, with stints at Arsenal, AC Milan, and Crystal Palace. That said, Flamini has been injury prone, with a six-week muscle injury just this spring.
Flamini is also notoriously hot headed on the pitch, missing 5 matches in his 2014 campaign with Arsenal for a yellow card suspension and a separate red card suspension.
Flamini undoubtedly brings fresh blood to the squad, which is the least you could ask for. At least we’re making moves.
