Update: Meg Ryan of the Star Tribune has confirmed this news.
Most of us saw this coming but it’s still a little surprising to see it in print: Rasmus Schüller looks to be heading out on loan to his old club at HJK Helsinki.

Schüller always seemed to be a promising player, particularly early in the season when the team played more like a division 3 college team against the likes of the Portland Timbers. But a hamstring injury has put a stop to a promising seven match start for the Loons, sidelining Schüller as he tries to heal.
The press release from the Finish club mentions that Schüller will return home on a contract through the end of the year. That seems to imply that Schüller is heading there on loan and will still be under contract for the Loons in 2018.
Schüller will reportedly be available to his home side in the next two weeks.
