The 5 Best Games of Minnesota United’s 2018 Season

There were some pretty fun moments in the Major League Soccer campaign, many of them courtesy of Darwin Quintero.

Check out the video above to see my picks for the best five games of Minnesota United’s 2018 season.

2-1 over Orlando City

This ended up being the Loons’ only road victory of the whole season. Yes, the whole season. We might as well enjoy it.

2-1 over Chicago Fire

The home opener was pretty fun. A beautiful day for March, a good crowd and a great team performance made for a fun one.

2-1 over New England Revolution

I swear the scorelines will change eventually. But Christian Ramirez broke his slump early in this one and dropped the “sitting duck” celebration, plus a USA-cup boosted crowd filled part of the upper tier.

4-3 over Toronto FC

Darwin Quintero’s hat trick in this game is undoubtedly the best individual performance this team has seen in the MLS era. So. Many. Chips.

5-1 over LAFC

This one came as a complete shock. For the Loons to beat one of the Western Conference’s best teams by four goals — well, it was something.
