And here. We. Go.
The first real rumor of the offseason is now upon us. Two Twitter reports out of Colombia — admittedly unsubstantial, but they’ve got enough followers to make it worth paying attention — state that Minnesota United is interested in Eddie Segura of Colombian side Atlético Huila.

Segura is a 21-year-old central defender who can also play right back, according to Transfermarkt.
Atlético Huila play in the Colombian first division and are rivals of Deportes Tolima, the former club of United forward Angelo Rodriguez. Rodriguez and fellow Colombian Darwin Quintero have established a clear connection between the Loons and the South American country.
Jeff Rueter, of The Athletic, reported that United was scouting in Colombia earlier this week.

But that’s not all for Loons transfer rumors. Another Twitter report — doubled by a news outlet — says United was among a sizable bunch of clubs scouting at a Portuguese top tier match between FC Porto and SC Braga.
We’ll of course be bringing you updates on these links and others throughout the offseason.
