Minnesota’s soccer market is set to get a little bit warmer.
Bayern Munich, of the German Bundesliga, will be playing a friendly in Minnesota this summer, a source told E Pluribus Loonum. The opponent of the friendly is not known, and the date is not clear.
The location is likely to be 66,000-capacity U.S. Bank Stadium. Two previous international friendlies (Chelsea-Milan in 2016 and Tottenham-Milan earlier in 2018) have been played there as part of the International Champions Cup.
Bayern Munich have won the last six Bundesliga titles.
Updates will be released as they become available.
