Vote for the #APetForJerry contest winner

We asked, and you answered. Twitter was much more fun over the last week with #APetForJerry submissions rolling in. Every single pet we saw was adorable, but we had to made the difficult decision to narrow options down to four finalists. Take a peek at these fluffy supporters and vote for which pet you think deserves the crown.

Fonzie

(As told by owner Matt) Fonzie is a two-year-old Lab/Terrier/Pitt Bull mix from the Humane Society of Golden Valley. He’s loyal to his favorite people and about 4 of his pup friends - every other dog he meets, he treats them as though they’re Atlanta United supporters. He is a speedy winger, so MNUFC will probably sign him. He’s full of #PANIC.

Leo

(As told by owner Oscar) Leo is not like any other 2 1/2 year old GoldenDoodle out there! First of all, he is a MNUFC fan at heart and loves wearing his many scarvess around town. In rare occasions, you may see him sporting his MNUFC winter stocking cap. He may look like a shaggy rug when his coat is at full strength but don’t be fooled. If he spots another fellow MNUFC fan, be ready to give endless love to him. Fair warning- do not leave socks laying around or you won’t see them back... at least not in the same condition! So the real question is why should someone choose Leo/Leonardo/Mr. Leo (depending on the severity of the crime)? Hands down, he is kind, loyal, will never turn down a good scratch, and very goofy! And if a dog isn’t for you—between you and me, he thinks he’s a cat anyways!

Willie and Johnny

(As told by owner Todd) Their names are Willie (orange and white) and Johnny (grey). Willie is 18.5 and Johnny is about 8. They do love The Loons (as well as loons in general) and feel a lot of pride as the sole feline finalist(s). Granted they’ve never actually seen a soccer match in person (matches are certainly on in the house often enough for them to get the gist, probably?) but we feel confident in their allegiance. Is it just the scarves? Hard to say but it’s good enough for us. After all, cats are pretty inscrutable.

P.s. They are Mpls City Catizens, even if they have no idea what that is.

Sloan

(As told by owner Nicole) Sloan’s a sassy pup that loves playing soccer in any weather. She’s swift like a shark and wishes she was free to run on the field with all the Loons. Since dogs currently aren’t allowed to be professional soccer players, she cheers on the Loons from the sidelines instead and works on improving her soccer skills in the backyard.
