Minnesota United announced a 10 year partnership with Bell Bank yesterdayafternoon at Bell Bank’s headquarters in Golden Valley. This is a multi-faceted agreement between the club and the bank which has seen the start of one community based program, the expansion of another and a partnership announcement involving the Loons new stadium, Allianz Field.
Community Involvement
Part of the announcement today with Minnesota United’s and Bell Bank’s “First Team Partnership” was Bell Bank’s involvement in the Loons L’Etoile du Nord program. While the specifics of that were not stated the program, which was launched in March by MNUFC, states it is for “recognizing community members who embody the core values of the club. And through this program hopes to highlight people making a difference behind those values at halftime of every home match this season.”
The other big part of this announcement was the creation of the Bell Bank Man of the Match. As stated by Minnesota United, “The Man of the Match entitlement is inspired by Bell Bank’s own “Pay It Forward” initiative, which provides $1,000 each year for every employee to give back to their communities.” This award will see the Minnesota United player who wins the Man of the Match award for each home and away match receive $1,000 that will be donated to a charity of their choice.

Allianz Field
The other part of the press conference today was the announcement that Allianz Field’s Southwest Gate, which is near the supporters section closest Snelling Ave and St. Anthony Ave., will be sponsored by Bell Bank. This is the first gate sponsorship at Minnesota United’s new home that will open for the 2019 MLS season.

The renderings were also one of few that have been seen from such a close up distance. The interior renderings show that the Safe Standing Supporters section will be separate from the other seating areas at Allianz Field and will extend all the way down to the pitch.
