A World Cup Preview, but Minnesota-Style

Every soccer site out there, and then some more, is running its own World Cup preview. We want to fit in with all the cool kids, but also stand out, ya know? So we’re going to do what we do best: keep it local. That means putting a uniquely Minnesotan twist on the World Cup.

How does one do that? It’s easy. We Minnesotans are known not only for our affinities toward boating and hotdish, but for being “Minnesota Nice” as well. We’re going to look for the nice things happening at the World Cup, not just during our preview, but during the tournament itself. There will be other coverage too, but that’s going to be our capital-T Thing.

For our previews, which will be released group-by-group below, we’re looking for the most likable teams in each group, then working our way through the bracket until we find the most likable team.
