Where Are They Now: Stefano Pinho

Pinho really likes Florida and NASL, apparently.

MLS: New York City FC at Orlando City SC Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

What did he do?

Pinho played for the NASL Loons in the 2016 season and racked up five goals and one assist in 27 appearances. Due to the brilliance of Christian Ramirez, he was force out onto the left wing and only made a few appearances at striker. He caught the eye of Lagos and Co. during an impressive season with Fort Lauderdale in 2015, but couldn’t replicate his success in Minnesota. As a product of Brazilian powerhouse Fluminese, he arrived with high expectations, but he never hit the production marks that would have kept him around and he didn’t make the transition to MLS when the Loons joined in 2017.

How did he leave?

After not joining the Loons for their debut season, he joined up with Miami FC of the NASL.

Where is he now?

After a successful season with Miami FC in which was earned Player of the Year awards and was the club’s top scorer, he was signed by Orlando City. He scored in his first appearance for them, but only has one goal since then in 21 appearances, mostly as a substitute. Since leaving Minnesota he has been able to get more minutes in his preferred striker position, rather than being forced out to the wing.
