The Loons will play in two tournaments as they prepare for their first season at Allianz Field.

Minnesota United has made its preseason plans official.

As other MLS teams are now in their first week of training, and others have made their schedules public nearly two weeks ago, the Loons will open camp next Monday.

The first week of training will take place at the National Sports Center before United heads down to Tucson, where they trained in the ramp-up to their inaugural season in 2017. There they will play USL League Two’s FC Tucson (1/29, TBD), the USL Championship’s Phoenix Rising (2/2, 3:00p CT) and the Houston Dynamo (2/6, 7:00p). All three matches are part of the Mobile Mini Sun Cup.

Minnesota will then briefly return north before heading to Florida to participate in Orlando City’s preseason tournament. There the Loons will play the New England Revolution (2/16, 3:30p CT), New York City FC (2/20 3:30p) and Orlando (2/23 1:00p).

The Loons then open the Major League Soccer season on March 2nd at the Vancouver Whitecaps.
