A battle of birds will be coming to Madison on June 25th.

Minnesota United will pay a visit to their new USL League One affiliate Forward Madison FC at the latter’s Breese Stevens Field.

The 5,000 capacity ground has enjoyed a rich history, hosting track, baseball and football events, as well as (of course) soccer.

Forward Madison FC, known as the Flamingos, were announced as the Loons affiliate back in December. The MLS club can freely loan players to the affiliate, helping younger players receive playing time.

The two clubs have also trained together in a limited capacity, with Madison providing extra players for United’s sessions.

Ticketing information will be released soon, according to a Forward Madison FC spokesman.
