The Loons were 2-1 winners over in the Flamingos in a midseason friendly.

Minnesota United faced Forward Madison, its USL League One affiliate, in a midseason friendly dubbed “the Battle of the Birds.”

The Loons came out 2-1 winners over the Flamingos as young striker Mason Toye netted both goals. Ally Hamis Ng’Anzi made his first appearance with the Loons, coming on as an early substitute when Abu Danladi left due to an injury.

United enjoyed a considerable amount of traveling support among the record-setting crowd of 4,821.

Minnesota assistant coaches Mark Watson and Ian Fuller led the team in lieu of Adrian Heath.
