Another one.

Minnesota United announced another midseason friendly against international opposition on Wednesday afternoon. They’ll host Liga MX side Pachuca on Saturday, September 7th at 7:00pm.

The match will be United’s fourth friendly of the 2019 season. Matches against the Bundesliga’s Hertha Berlin and USL League One affiliate Forward Madison (a road game), are already in the rearview mirror, while a date with freshly promoted Premier League club Aston Villa is coming up in mid-July.

From the club’s release:

“An exclusive presale for season ticket members begins Thursday, June 27 at 10:00 a.m. and goes until 9:00 a.m. on Friday, June 28. To kick off the presale, season ticket members will have special access to a flash sale with up to 50% off select locations at Allianz Field from the start of the presale until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 27.”

Tickets will be available to the general public at 10:00a on July 1st.

Pachuca, based in the central Mexican city of the same name, are currently preparing for the start of the 2019 Apertura, or opening portion of the Liga MX season. This friendly will happen at a similar logistical time to the Loons however, with both sides playing each other during a small break: a ten-day gameless span for United, a two-week break for Los Tuzos.

The friendly falls during FIFA’s September international break, meaning both clubs will likely be without some players as they join their national teams for play.

Winger Romario Ibarra is currently on loan at Pachuca from Minnesota.
