Quick Recap

Minnesota United hosts USL Championship side New Mexico United in the quarterfinal round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.

The USL Championship side is not going to be an easy task to knock off however; they themselves have already knocked off two MLS sides, the Colorado Rapids and FC Dallas, in their Cinderella story of a cup run.

The men in black and yellow dub the iconic “Meow Wolf” kits, while their supporters group “The Curse” has a rumored 300 supporters traveling from Albuquerque attending the match tonight.

Game and roster News

Adrian Heath announced his starting lineup in the tweet below.

Heath announced that he would be throwing out a lineup that would be the best team he could field, and he didn’t disappoint. Kevin Molino is the only player in the XI who has not been starting consistently. After he bagged two assists this past weekend, he returns, starting.

Quick note: Bobby Shuttleworth makes his first match-day 18 since May 4.

The Loons will look to score early and control the tempo of the match from the first whistle.
