After successfully hosting two matches in the CONCACAF Gold Cup last month, Minnesota United FC announced today that the USWNT will come to Allianz Field in St. Paul.

As part of the US Women’s National Team Victory Tour they will make their way to Allianz Field in St. Paul on Tuesday September 3rd to play Portugal. The match will begin at 7 PM CT and be aired on ESPN2 and the ESPN app, this is in addition to the deal recently made between ESPN and the NWSL to air the league on the ESPN Networks.

“It’s always fun to play in cities that we haven’t been to that much and with the opening of a new stadium for Minnesota United. It’s awesome that we’ll get to play in St. Paul this fall in a world class facility that is another sign of the growth of soccer in the USA.” said USWNT midfielder Rose Lavelle. “I’m all in favor of any time we can go to Big 10 country and we’re really looking forward to celebrating the World Cup title with all of the fans in the Midwest.”

This will be the second time the US Women’s National Team has played a match in Minnesota, the last time coming in October of 2016 when they defeated Switzerland 5-1 at US Bank Stadium.
