Minnesota United’s new arrival Thomás Chacón wished his boyhood club, Danubio FC goodbye in an Instagram post.

The Uruguayan youth national made his debut for the Montevideo side in 2018, scoring two goals before joining Minnesota this August.

In the post, translated from Spanish, Chacón said

“I arrived at the club when I was 12 to complete my dream. Since then, my career was also with this shirt. Debuting, playing in Jardines (Danubio’s stadium), scoring my first goal, was all very wonderful but also very fast. I wanted to do more, but there will be time to achieve it. Thank you to all those who accompanied me on my journey and helping me to get to this point.

Until next time, beloved Danubio!”
