MNUFC send Toye to Impact

Toye Time is now done in Minnesota

Early this afternoon Minnesota United announced they had traded Mason Toye to Montreal Impact. In exchange Minnesota receives $150K in GAM for 2020, $450K in GAM for 2021, and 2nd Round pick in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft. Minnesota will also retain an undisclosed percentage on any future transfer fees for Toye.

The Loons acquired Mason Toye in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft when they selected him seventh overall out of Indiana University. He would debut for the club in March 2018 when he came off the bench against Orlando City SC. During his time with Minnesota, Toye has made 50 appearances across all competitions gathering 1,923 minutes. He has scored 10 goals and gathered two assists in his time in the North Star State.

Since the 2020 season began the Loons acquired Luis Amarilla on loan from Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield in Argentina and the team recently acquired Kei Kamara from Colorado.
