Unfortunately, we are still several weeks away from actual football, Minnesota United has been going strong in simulated matches in FIFA 2020.
Two weeks ago the Loons hosted the New York Red Bulls at virtual Allianz Field in a match that was supposed to be their actual home-opener but was canceled due to the Coronavirus.
The match was a back and forth contest that looked like it was headed for a draw but late sub Mason Toye, who came in at the 82nd minute for Luis Amarilla, scored the only goal of the match with less than a minute left in second-half injury time to give Minnesota the victory.

The Loons next match was this past Saturday at virtual Allianz Field against the Montreal Impact.
In a hard-fought affair that yielded a lot of shots but not a lot of goals, striker Luis Amarilla, via a beautiful setup pass from Kevin Molino, was able to slip one past the Impact defense to score the first goal of the match and ultimately was the match-winner.
does this count against the 25?
