After Minnesota United’s match on Sunday and gaining entry into the MLS Cup Playoffs it was known the Loons would play the Portland Timbers at Providence Park, but it was not known when. That changed on Monday night when the league announced the date, time, and broadcast information for the entirety of the playoffs.

MNUFC will head to Portland, OR to face the Timbers on Sunday, November 21 where they will have a 4:30 PM CT (2:30 PM PT) kickoff. The match will air on ESPN and ESPN Deportes in the US as well as TSN and TVA Sports (French language) in Canada with radio coverage taking place on SKOR North. The Loons are 2-0-0 against the Timbers in 2021 and even shut them out in Portland earlier this season.

If the Loons do win in Portland and advance to the Western Conference Semi-Finals they will then face the #1 seeded Colorado Rapids. That match is scheduled for Thursday, November 25, Thanksgiving Day, with a 2:30 PM CT (1:30 PM MT) kickoff. The Thanksgiving Day game will air on FOX and FOX Deportes in the US and TSN and TVA Sports in Canada.

The Conference Semi-Finals are scheduled for December 4th and 5th with the Saturday, December 4th match set for a 5:30 PM kickoff on FS1, FOX Deportes, TSN, and TVA Sports. The Sunday, December 5th match is set for a 2 PM kickoff on ABC, ESPN Deportes, TSN, and TVA Sports. The MLS Cup Final will take place on Saturday, December 11th at 1 PM CT airing on ABC, Univision, TUDN, TSN, and TVA Sports.

Prior to the MLS Cup Playoffs kicking off we do of course have another international break, one that will see four Minnesota United players represent their national teams. Michael Boxall will represent New Zealand when the All Whites face Gambia next Tuesday at 10 AM CT. Robin Lod and Jukka Raitala have been called up to represent Finland when Huuhkajat play in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Saturday at 8 AM and then host France next Tuesday at 1:45 PM. Romain Metanire has also been called up to represent Madagascar for Barea’s two matches. Madagascar will play Benin tomorrow (Thursday) at 10 AM followed by Tanzania on Sunday at 7 AM.
