After an emotional roller coaster of a night it was a 90th minute goal by Hassani Dotson to give Minnesota United the win and their first MLS Playoff berth.
Heath had the Loons come out in a very similar formation to what we’ve seen the last two matches. The same starting XI came out as the last two matches with Wilfried Moimbé-Tahrat taking Wyatt Omsburg’s position on the bench.

It was Sporting Kansas City who opened the scoring. Johnny Russell played a short corner and after he received the ball back he sent it into the box to Botond Baráth. Baráth then put in a goal that based on all the videos went off his arm to bring SKC up 1-0.

Minnesota would use the first two of their in the 61st minute with Abu Danladi coming on for Mason Toye and Hassani Dotson coming on for Kevin Molino.
Jan Gregus sent the Loons 7th corner of the night into the box. The captain Ozzie Alonso would find the back of the net on a beautiful volley to even the score at 1 a piece.

The Loons final sub of the night came in the 80th minute with Ethan Finlay coming on for Robin Lod.
It would be one of Heath’s subs in Hassani Dotson scoring the game winning goal. After receiving a ball from captain Ozzie Alonso he cut into the middle of the box and put a shot in while off balance past Sporting’s Tim Melia.
